I retired from the military after serving 32 years and was now in need of a second career since I was not ready to retire for good. Photography had always been a part of my life in one form or another, whether it was a 35mm film camera, point & shoot or a DSLR. So what does one do at the age of 52, you enrol at NSCC for the 2-year photography program. Although I was the oldest the first day of school was a bit intimidating since all but 2 students were younger than my own kids, a good number of them just out of high school or just a year or two out of high school. They were and still are a good bunch of kids and in one way or another we pulled together and managed to help each other out throughout the 2 year program. Now that school is almost over it'll be time to put all of this knowledge and education together and hopefully be able to pursue a career in what has been a long time passion. The things I learned over these 2 years are amazing, I had a good base from previous photography course I had taken but I still managed to learn a huge amount, I will forever be grateful to those who helped me flourish and pushed me to do better as they knew I could. Thank you to the educators who have crossed my path and believed in me, Dave, Ingram, Mike, Beth & Liam.
